Welcome to the EXERCISE NOBLE SKYWAVE 2017 (Ex NS 17) resource page. On behalf of the Communications and Electronics Branch (C&E Branch), 8 Air Communication and Control Squadron (8 ACCS) and the Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics (CFSCE) thank-you for your interest!

Ex NS 17 will afford your team the opportunity to sharpen their High Frequency (HF) skills on a global stage. Units with HF equipment are encouraged to dust them off and show the world what you can do.

EXERCISE NOBLE SKYWAVE 2017 – Coordinating Instructions

Much like a Net Control Station (NCS), this page will act as our digital nucleus to coordinate the competition. Below you will find some key timings in order to afford an appropriate amount coordination:

  1. 09  2100Z October 2017 – Registration is now closed (update 16 Oct 17) 
  2. 18 October 2017 – CEOIs released;
  3. 20 1800Z October 2017 – Final participant, call-sign, and location list published;
  4. 23 1300Z October 2017 – Optional Communications Checks begin;
  5. 24 1000Z October 2017 to 24 1400Z October 2017 – Establishing the Net – SSB;
  6. 24 1400Z October 2017 to 25 0200Z October 2017 – Free Play;
  7. 25 0200Z October 2017 to 25 1400Z October 2017 – ALE Capability & SSB-Only Capability;
  8. 25 1400Z October 2017 to 25 1800Z October 2017 – SSB Target;
  9. 25 1900Z October 2017 – END EX, the winning team will be announced via HF and email; and
  10. 06 November 2017 – AAR points submitted to the Branch Adjutant.

  3. Team 47 – 176 pts.

SSB:

2G ALE:
