C & E Branch / RCCS Nominations for French Légion d’Honneur

For dissemination to all C&E / Signals / RCAF / CFSRS websites and distribution lists!
This is an extension, until 10 July, of last year’s call for nominations for surviving veterans of the Liberation of France. Last year, the C&E / RCCS community submitted several nominations and the following were awarded:
a. L/Cpl John Ross (Lethbridge, Alberta) , 1st Cdn Para Bn;
b. Signalman Jack Tennant (Winnipeg, Manitoba), E Section, 3 Div Signals;
c. Sig Hugh Patterson DR, 2nd Canadian Division H.Q. Signals; and
d. Cpl Ralph Hillgartner, Wireless Operator, 2nd Canadian Armoured Brigade HQ.
Please disseminate to, or nominate, any veteran who may have been missed in the previous call.  Similar to last year (and the Liberation of the Netherlands nominations), complete the form, with a supporting text or description of service in France, and send to:
